Cancellations and Refunds Policy

Important Notice: All transactions on Mihrab are final. We operate a strict no-refund and no-cancellation policy for all donations and advertising purchases, except in specific circumstances outlined below.

This Cancellations and Refunds Policy applies to all transactions made through the Mihrab application operated by MeritLife Technologies ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our"). By using our Service, You acknowledge and agree to this policy.

1. General Policy

Mihrab operates as a technology platform connecting users with religious institutions and organizations. All financial transactions made through our Service are considered final and non-refundable. This includes:

All donations made through Mihrab are voluntary contributions and are considered final once the payment is processed. We do not offer cancellations or refunds for donations.

2.1. Platform-Managed Payments (Razorpay)

When donations are processed using MeritLife Technologies' payment gateway credentials:

Important: Technical error refunds do not apply to UPI transactions. UPI payments are processed outside our system through the UPI network. Any UPI transaction issues must be resolved with your bank or the Beneficiary directly.

Action Required: You must report the technical error within 48 hours of the transaction by contacting us at info@meritlife.tech with:

Refunds will be processed if required by applicable law or a valid court order.

4.3. Fraudulent Transactions

If your payment account was used without your authorization (fraudulent transaction):

For UPI Fraud: Since UPI transactions bypass our systems entirely, you must report fraudulent UPI transactions directly to your bank and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). File a complaint through your UPI app or bank's fraud helpline immediately. Additionally, contact the Mosque/Madrasha as they received the funds directly.

5. How to Request a Refund (Exceptional Cases Only)

If you believe your situation qualifies under Section 4 above:

  2. Subject line: "Refund Request - [Transaction ID]"
  3. Include:
    • Your full name and registered email/phone number
    • Transaction ID and date
    • Payment method used (Platform Razorpay, Beneficiary Razorpay, or UPI)
    • Detailed reason for refund request
    • Supporting documentation
  4. We will review your request within 7-10 business days
Important: Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. Each case is evaluated individually at our sole discretion. Refund requests for UPI transactions will be redirected to the Beneficiary as we have no access to those funds.

Understanding UPI Transactions: UPI (Unified Payments Interface) enables instant bank-to-bank transfers. When you donate via UPI, the money moves directly from your bank to the Beneficiary's bank in real-time, completely outside of MeritLife Technologies' systems.

Clear Limitation: For UPI donations, MeritLife Technologies cannot:
  • View transaction details or confirmation
  • Cancel or reverse the transaction
  • Process refunds or returns
  • Mediate disputes between You and the Beneficiary
  • Provide tax receipts or donation certificates
  • Verify if funds were received by the Beneficiary

8. Chargebacks

If You initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank or payment provider without first contacting us:

9. No Cancellation of Recurring Donations

Currently, Mihrab does not offer recurring donation subscriptions. If this feature is added in the future, You will be able to cancel future recurring donations, but any donations already processed will remain non-refundable.

We reserve the right to modify this Cancellations and Refunds Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.

13. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Tamil Nadu, India. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tamil Nadu.
