Last updated: January 25, 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the Mihrab application (the "Service") operated by MeritLife Technologies ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By accessing or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You disagree with any part of these Terms, then You may not access the Service.
1. Interpretation and Definitions
The definitions provided in our Privacy Policy apply to these Terms and Conditions. Additionally:
- Listing refers to the profile created for Mosques, Madrashas, or other organizations within the App.
- Beneficiary refers to the owner or administrator of a Listing (e.g., the Mosque committee) receiving funds.
- Donor refers to a User who utilizes the Service to send funds to a Listing.
- Advertiser refers to a User or entity that purchases advertising space within the Service.
- UPI ID refers to a Unified Payments Interface Virtual Payment Address (VPA), a unique identifier (such as name@bank or number@bank) that allows instant money transfers without sharing sensitive bank account details.
2. User Accounts
When You create an account with Us, You must provide us with information that is accurate, complete, and current. You are responsible for safeguarding the password You use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under Your password.
3. Services Provided
Mihrab acts as a technology platform to connect users with religious institutions (Mosques, Madrashas) and other listings. The Service allows Users to:
- Search for and view Listings.
- Follow specific Listings for updates.
- Make voluntary donations to Listings.
- Create and pay for advertisements.
4. Donations and Payment Processing
We primarily use Razorpay as our payment gateway provider. However, Listings may also accept donations via UPI ID. The method of processing depends on how the specific Listing (Mosque/Madrasha) has set up their account.
4.1. Payment Models
The payment processing models are:
- Platform-Managed Payments (Razorpay): The donation is processed using MeritLife Technologies' Razorpay credentials. We collect the funds and settle them to the Beneficiary.
- Beneficiary-Managed Payments - Razorpay (Direct): The Listing (Mosque/Madrasha) has integrated their own Razorpay credentials. In this case, the transaction is processed directly between You (the Donor) and the Beneficiary. MeritLife Technologies does not touch, hold, or control these funds.
- Beneficiary-Managed Payments - UPI (Direct): The Listing has provided their own UPI ID (e.g., mosque@bankname). When You make a donation using UPI, the payment is transferred directly from Your UPI-linked bank account to the Beneficiary's bank account via the UPI system. MeritLife Technologies does not touch, hold, or control these funds.
4.2. What is UPI?
name@bank or number@bank and works through payment apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or your bank's app.
4.3. Disclaimer for Beneficiary-Managed Payments (Razorpay & UPI)
When a Listing uses their own payment credentials:
- No Liability: We act solely as a user interface displaying the Beneficiary's payment information. We are not a party to the financial transaction. We accept no liability for the completion of the transaction, the security of the Beneficiary's payment gateway account or UPI ID, or the handling of funds once transferred.
- Direct Transfer: For UPI payments, money moves directly from Your bank account to the Beneficiary's bank account through the UPI network. MeritLife Technologies never receives or holds these funds.
- Disputes & Refunds: Any request for a refund, receipt, or dispute resolution must be directed exclusively to the Mosque or Madrasha. We do not have the technical ability to reverse these transactions.
- Tax Receipts: It is the sole responsibility of the Beneficiary (Mosque/Madrasha) to provide valid tax exemption certificates (e.g., 80G in India) if applicable.
- UPI Transaction Verification: You are responsible for verifying the UPI ID displayed belongs to the intended Beneficiary before completing the transaction. Check the name and institution details shown in your UPI app before confirming payment.
4.4. General Payment Terms
- Finality: All donations are voluntary and, unless otherwise required by law or a specific technical error, are non-refundable.
- Fees: The Payment Gateway (Razorpay) or the Platform may deduct transaction fees or service charges from the donated amount before it reaches the Beneficiary. UPI transactions typically have no fees for the donor, but banks may charge the receiving account holder.
- Compliance: You agree not to use the payment system for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering.
5. Advertising Policy
Users and businesses may purchase advertising space within the Mihrab application.
5.1. Content Guidelines

5.2. Approval and Refunds
We reserve the right to reject or remove any advertisement at our sole discretion. If we remove an ad due to a violation of these Terms, no refund will be issued for the remaining duration of the ad campaign.
